We worked with all the children at Musbury Primary School last week on a series of earth building workshops and what a brilliant time we had.
Every child threw themselves into the experience and together they learnt to make cob, build with wattle and daub, sculpted cob heads and even built a cob pizza oven together. On the last day we made pizzas, cooked them in the oven and ate them with parents at an ending ceremony.
The children have been learning about their local history and the Iron Age Hill fort in the their village and thanks to money from the PTA and Heritage England, we were able to spend 5 days earth building with the children.
Bu the end of the week every child was fully absorbed in the process and worked so well in teams. Everyone learnt news skills, gained confidence and hopefully had a week they will always remember.
Thank you Musbury Primary School for having us!
